Mahtomedi Liquor Barrel is locally owned and Operated. Owners Eric and Kelly Hendrickson are active in the community and also live nearby. Eric is a contributor to several local school district programs including those at Mahtomedi and White Bear Lake High Schools. He is a member of the local Rotary Club, a member of the Metro Area Small Business Association, and a board member of the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association.

Eric has been in the Wine and Liquor business for over sixteen years. His depth of knowledge in the industry started in the distribution business and has evolved to retail. Eric is active in his business and he really enjoys helping his customers understand the product that they are purchasing.

Eric has traveled to all regions of the world exploring his passion of wine. He has visited and learned from some of the leading wine makers in the United States and other parts of the world including a recent trip with his wife, Kelly, to vineyards in Australia. Eric enjoys passing his knowledge and experiences along to customers through his Liquor Barrel retail location and his private wine tastings. Mahtomedi Liquor Barrel sponsors many wine tastings for customers throughout the year. Liquor Barrel wine tastings generally include a representative of the vineyard along with local distribution experts. Often times, the tastings include the winemakers themselves. Mahtomedi Liquor Barrel wine tastings are truly a unique event, and one that all wine enthusiasts should experience.
